Yes! Cleopatra VII did. She sailed to Rome, and along the Nile.
Cleopatra VII
Cleopatra VII Philopator daughter of Ptolemy XII, Pharaoh of Egypt was of Greek origin.
Yes and no. Cleopatra VII was actually the queen of Egypt. The title "Queen of the Nile" was given to her by court flatterers and later historians.
There was no Cleopatra Selene II. Cleopatra Selene, the daughter of Cleopatra VII, is reported to have died of natural causes.

probably not..... who knows????? Good question, because there was no Cleopatra X. The only other Cleopatra after Cleopatra VII was her daughter Cleopatra Selene. Ptolemy XII was the father of Cleopatra VII. It can be confusing, because there were many Cleopatras and many Ptolemys. The only way to sort them out is to make sure of the numbers after their names.
Cleopatra VII was the true last Pharoah of Egypt. She was also the last of the Greek Ptolemies to rule Egypt. She married and had children with two very important Roman people- Julius Caeser and Marc Antony! Mocat11: very nice, but Cleopatra didnt do JUST that, Cleopatra vii (7) helped stabalize Egypt in a time of war. she maintained friends with rome during all of her life and up until the emporor Augustus Caesar took over the throne and declared war on Rome. she was one of the best Egyptian pharoah that ever lived! if you want to learn more about her, i recommend the book Cleopatra vii: daughter of the nile by Kristen greogory.
She had to go to Rome with her Father because her oldest sister was trying to kill them both. Also, after being in Rome for a few years, she had trouble going back because of the weather at sea. They also need to round up an army to take over her sister since she stole the throne....it's a good book.
