There are several famous inventors who did not get rich from their inventions, despite their significant contributions to science and technology. Here are a few examples: Nikola Tesla - Tesla is known for his contributions to the development of alternating current (AC) electricity, as well as his work on wireless communication and radio. However, Tesla struggled financially throughout his life and died in relative obscurity, with little recognition for his many inventions. Robert Noyce - Noyce is credited with co-inventing the microchip, a key component of modern electronics. However, he did not become wealthy from this invention, as he sold his patent rights for a modest sum in 1959. Philo Farnsworth - Farnsworth is known for his work on the development of the television, which he first demonstrated in 1927. However, he struggled to secure patents and funding for his invention, and ultimately did not become wealthy from it. Johannes Gutenberg - Gutenberg is credited with inventing the movable type printing press, which revolutionized the dissemination of knowledge and information. However, he did not profit greatly from his invention and died in relative obscurity. Tim Berners-Lee - Berners-Lee is the inventor of the World Wide Web, which has had a profound impact on modern society. However, he chose not to patent his invention, and has not become wealthy from it. Instead, he has advocated for open access to information and the democratization of knowledge.
