I don't know why, I cried. I thought it was very sad and I don't think he should have died. But then again, after the seventh book, I think it was for a reason.

I think because, in one of the books, he put on a ring. And that ring was going to kill him ( you know, Dumbledore's shrivelled hand) and so he asked Snape to kill him (if I remember right). Why he put on the ring, I don't think I know, but I have a theory.

J.k Rowling must have wanted us to be really sure that Snape was really on the dark side before we realized that he was on Dumbledore's side.

Who really knows.... It might just have been so Snape could get his chance at being headmaster at Hogwarts. Maybe so Harry could name one of his sons after him. I guess only J.K Rowling knows.....

i think itsfor many reasons, cause if he didn't die, voldemort wouldn't have been able to get his wand to easy and all htos other events that lead right up to harry killing voldy
