Anne Frank believed this because Anne had realized that tough all people can do bad things and show hate towards others, everyone is born good and it is the influences of the world around you that corrupts you. So really she believed that all people have the potential to have a good heart and can but not all show it and after years of corruption they forget to be kind.

Anne Frank believed in the inherent goodness of people because she held onto hope and positivity to navigate through difficult circumstances. By choosing to see the best in others, she was able to maintain her faith in humanity during dark times in the Secret Annex. This outlook also helped her cope with the challenges of living in hiding during World War II.
