Bep Voskuijl was forbidden from entering the annex by her employer, Otto Frank, after he discovered that she had been providing extra food and supplies to the people in hiding. This was done to protect the security and secrecy of those in hiding and to prevent any connection between Bep and the annex.

In Anne Frank's diary, "bep" refers to Bep Voskuijl, one of the people who helped hide Anne Frank and her family during World War II. Bep worked as a secretary in the building where the Secret Annex was located and provided assistance to the occupants during their time in hiding.
Besides daily study with her parents, she took correspondence courses (in Bep's name).
That was done by Johannes Voskuijl, father of Bep Voskuijl, and an excellent carpenter.
Jo Kleiman, Victor Kugler, Bep Voskuijl and Miep Gies were the lifeline for those hiding in the annex. They brought food, books, toiletries, and everything else necessary for life to those in hiding. They were assisted by Miep's husband Jan, who was their connection to the Dutch Resistance, supplying ration coupons. Collectively, they kept those hiding in the annex alive.
The four helpers in the Secret Annex were Miep Gies, Johannes Kleiman, Victor Kugler, and Bep Voskuijl. They provided food, supplies, and support to Anne Frank and her family while they were in hiding during World War II.
The hidden entrnce to the Annex was built by Johannus Voskuijl, the father of Bep Voskuijl, one of the secretaries who worked for Otto Frank.
