This could be your clutch pressure plate is worne..
If it is a manual transmission it may make a whining noise or, if it is really falling apart, a grinding sound. If it is an automatic, they usually don't make any particular noise. Most of the functions are pressure valves so the transmission just doesn't shift properly or won't move when in gear. If you are geyying a grinding noise but the transmission seems to be functioning okay you probably need to have the flywheel inspected to see if the starter is dragging or the flywheel has broken or cracked.
maybe it is broken
hydraulic fluid leaking from it, broken spring, broken/grinding bearing plate (some struts)
Mitochondria
It is a transmission that was broken, but is now fixed with new parts.

Several things can cause your transmission to be stuck in second gear. Broken or detached shifting linkage will cause the problem. A broken shifting for in the transmission can also cause the problem.
Because your transmission cable is broken and it must be broken near the transmission end You have to See your mechanic in transmission to replace it
