check the fuses!
Sounds to be alternator. Take somewhere to have the charging system tested.
When the truck is idling at low RPM, the charge supplied by alternator is not sufficient to run truck and charge battery of reverse polarity. Alternator expends majority of amperage toward charging (which never takes) and increase in RPM is required to spin alternator fast enough to accomodate ignition system and charging system in unison. Dead cell in the battery or the alternator has failed. Drive your Ford to your favorite auto parts store where they will check the charging system free of charge.
This is not a battery problem. Your charging system, the alternator, is not putting out enough juice to charge the battery until you reach 4000 rpm. Have the alternator and charging system checked.
charging system not charging battery with new batttery, alternator and fuel pump. what will make that happen ?
It means something is worng with your charging system. Check first your alternator if its charging. Check if belt is loose or broken. Check voltage of battery. Might be undercharged.
Have the charging system checked. Possibly loose or corroded wiring, a loose alternator belt, or a bad alternator.
Apparently the alternator is bad or the battery is shot, take the car to autozone and get a free charging system check.
A low battery charge is a sign of failing battery or charging system. most batteries last 4-5 years then need replacement. If your battery will not hold a charge have your alternator checked. most auto part stores will test your alternator for free.
Typically that means that the alternator is not functioning properly and is unable to maintain the battery charge. Many auto parts retailers will test the charging system for you, free of charge. If the battery light is on, have the charging system tested immediately, before your battery goes dead and you are unable to start the car.
you need to have your charging system tested. also check the battery it may be bad.
If you can get the vehicle to your local auto parts store, at no cost they can test the charging system and tell you what the problem is, be it a bad battery or alternator or what ever.
