If you hear it only at idle and sounds faint, it is your rocker shaft. They wear on the end and makes a slight ticking noise. Mine has done it for over 100k miles and no problems. I hope you have done reg maint and kept oil changed.
Possible u-joint in rear shaft.
1995 concorse is making a ticking noise under the glove compartment
A loud ticking noise in a 1995 Plymouth Voyager could indicate several issues, including a faulty lifter, low oil pressure, or a problem with the timing belt or chain. It's essential to check the engine oil level and condition first, as low oil can lead to valve train noise. If the oil level is fine, the ticking could be from worn engine components, and a thorough inspection by a mechanic would be advisable to diagnose the exact cause and prevent further damage.
you could be looking at piston slap.(lot of$$) but if you confusing ping with ticking it may be an easier problem. On the other hand there is another type of ping that is cause by the timing. you need to have it check by a proffesional.
Could be lots of things, one that isn't thougt of is a fuel injector sticking. Can of injector cleaner can't hurt anything.
Noises have to be heard to be correctly diagnoised. Check the motor mounts to see if they are broken.
The ticking noise in a 1995 Aspire when cold is often due to the lifters or valves not getting enough oil circulation as the engine starts. When the engine warms up, the oil thins and flows more easily, reducing or eliminating the noise. Additionally, it could be related to exhaust leaks or components like the timing belt tensioner. Regular maintenance, including oil changes, can help minimize such noises.
It could, it was an option.
If the ticking noise goes away when the vehicle is warmed up then its going to be the gaskets for your exhaust manifolds...this is one of those general Chevy problems. Mine did it on my 1995 9c1 installed new gaskets now theres nothing
