i have herd anything from output speed senser to bad ground even a bad volt reg,in the altinator...got the same thing goin on in a winnabago,,good luck , im still stumped

I'm not sure about the speedometer, but if the tach is not working a good bet would be the tach filter. With age, a wire often breaks off on these.
