have you replaced the battery? It sounds like an electrical problem. The battery needs load tested... which can be done for free at autozone, advance auto parts, etc.
Also check the starter soleonoid... should be located either on passenger side of engine compartment or on the firewall somewhere... simple/cheap fix if that's the problem
