Try finding the hot wire to the alarm system and remove the fuse that is in the line. Failing that I would simply cut the wire off at a point where you can repair it later. Good Luck and Remember.

Ford's fusible links are usually connected to the battery side of the starter solenoid.
The oil pressure gauge on a 2002 Ford Taurus is located right next to where the battery is, toward the middle of the actual car. The gauge is connected to the front of the engine.

On a 1997 Ford Taurus : In the power distribution box ( which is " live " ) located in the front of the engine compartment , near the battery ( mini fuse # 28 is a 15 amp fuse for the heated oxygen sensors and canister vent )
Defective alternator, dead cell in battery, or something is on pulling power from the battery.

burn out the fuses
i had the same problem on my Taurus 06. check the battery and it's connections, something is loose. i have changed the battery and cleaned the the terminals. every thing turned ok
I was looking at the 2002 Ford Taurus Owner Guide and it shows that Vulcan , Flex Fuel , and Duratec - V6 engines came with the ( Motorcraft BXT-36R ) battery
