Not usually required but recommended. If the surface of your rotors have any grooves or gouges, then yes definatly have them "turned" at a shop or replaced. If your brake pads are replaced regularly then you should be fine.
The tools required to replace a front brake pad and rotors on a 2000 Jeep Grand are lug wrenches, a jack, jack stands, and a C-clamp. You also will need a wrench and a turkey baster for drawing out old brake fluid.
Possible that the rear sensors are broken.
You will need to remove the tire and wheel. You can remove the brake pad and break assembly, by removing the brake spring and caliper. Loosen the rotors with a hammer. The rotors will slide off. Reverse the process to install the new rotors.
Depends entirely on the type of use they get how heavy the car is ,if they are left to rust over a period of time.but often two to three pad changes.
Depending on the pads, around $150 for front or rear, and depending on the car, around $250 for the rotors.
it is more efficient and decreases the resonance than other bearings in rotors
You will need to remove the tire and wheel from your Mitsubishi Eclipse. Make sure the vehicle is secure when the tire and wheel is off. Remove the brake pad assembly. Loosen the rotors with a hammer. The rotors will slide off. Reverse the process to install the new rotors.
You will need to remove the tire and wheel from your 2005 Dodge Durango. Remove the brake pad Springs and calipers. Tap the rotors with a hammer to loosen them. Slide the rotors off. Reverse the process to install the new rotors and brake pads.
Have your brake pads checked. If the squeaking sound stop when you apply the brakes it may be your brake pad wear indicators rubbing the rotors to warn you to have your brake pads replaced. If you ignore it damage will result when the rotors and metal brake pad backing or rivets rub after the brake pad linings are worn away.
Usually it can be a high pitched sound that alerts you that your brake pad are deteriorating and soon to be into you rotors.
I believe most mechanics recommend turning the rotors anytime the brake pads are replaced. Otherwise, any gouges or flaws in the rotor will reduce brake pad life significantly.
When it comes to all cars if a vibration is felt during braking you should check the front rotors for run out (uneven wear).Replace the rotors and pad. BMW doesnt recommend resurfacing.
