yes. if the valve is plugged or stuck closed, oil can be sucked into the intake through the pcv breather.
A bad PCV valve can cause the engine to smoke. The valve is easy to change in most engines to correct the problem.
Bad PCV valve.
oil leak and poor gas milage
yes
Yes it will.
No
Stuck or bad PCV valve on the Valve Cover to the carb or throttle body. The other is the EGR valve. Most likely the PCV.
A bad PCV valve or a problem in the PCV system will cause this
What kind of valve? Exhaust valve? EGR valve? PCV valve?
Check your motor mounts and what your at it check trans mounts.
A bad PCV valve can cause excessive oil leakage and consumption. A PCV valve helps relieve pressure in the crankcase. If the PCV valve malfunctions, crankcase pressures can increase, forcing oil through seals and gaskets. check the vacuum hoses to the pcv and the other vacuum lines also. it can be numerous things wrong! good answer also a over filled crankcase, a bad oring on dipstic, also worn pistons and or rings can cause blowby where your compession gets by the piston and rings and pressurizes the crank case causing the oil to escape the easiest way it can.make sure you have good vaccum pull at pcv valve a cloggeg hose or fitting will cause crankcase pressure
Generally speaking the symptom of a bad PCV valve is a buildup of pressure inside the crankcase. If it is bad enough it can cause the engine oil to come out through the dip stick tube. If you pull the dipstick out and hear a release of pressure that is probably an indication of a bad PCV valve. The common way to check the PCV valve is to take it out and shake it. If it has a rattle then it is supposed to be good, no rattle it is assumed to be plugged up and no longer working. I am not certain if that is still a valid check.
