It could be the relay or the fuse or the horn itself. Or, it could be all three!
Check the fuse?
well, check all the fuses and check the horn relay if not work. if horn relay sound but horn not working, then you will have to check the clock spring for loose connection or tighting it.you can even look for bad wiring connection to the horn system.
It should be located on the driver side fender... 2nd relay back (because theres a row of relays in that panel) I heard that you can switch the fuel pump relay with the horn relay and if the vehicle starts and the horn wont work then the relay is bad.
are they spining if not fuse, relay or wires to it could be blowing out
Usually the horn and cruise control go together because of the clock spring. It needs to be replaced and there is a recall for it.
I had same problem. It ended up being the horn relay which is under the dash on the far left. The relay made a click, but the contacts were burned. I replaced it with a similar one from Radio Shack that I wired using mostly the same connectors.
On my 2004 Jeep Liberty the power windows and the horn relay are powered by the front power outlet fuse. use at least a 20 amp fuse.
I'd like to know that myself. It seems that when I first start the car, I really have to lean on the horn to make it sound-off. After that, it responds easily. I had the horn pad replaced once but it didn't matter. I think it's a design defect.
Check the flat cable coil in steering wheel, it may have broken leeds.
on the back of the car
usually a stuck horn is caused by a bad horn relay.sometimes it is the horn switch itself sticking.even rarer is a faulty horn that becomes stuck. try the relay.
You need to apologize again. Tell her you're sorry you didn't trust her and give the reason. Be gentle with the reason though, don't blow it out of proportion.
