Yes, you can mix synthetic DOT 3 brake fluid with regular DOT 3 brake fluid, as both meet the same performance standards and are glycol-based. However, it's generally recommended to stick to one type for optimal performance and to avoid potential chemical interactions. Always check the manufacturer's recommendations for your vehicle to ensure compatibility and safety.
Any dot 3, just don't mix synthetic & regular.
Any dot 3 is fine for all cars. the important thing to remember is not to mix synthetic with regular. Just don't get the synthetic stuff by mistake, or you'll have to bleed the brakes.
Good ole fashioned DOT 3. Unless you plan on completely flushing the system stick with the regular DOT 3.....not the synthetic. If you need to know why you shouldn't mix them contact me on my message board and I will explain.
is super dot 4 ,compatable with dot 3 and dot 4 break fluide.
If your system lists DOT 3 fluid then use DOT3. You should not mix them together.
No.
Good old fashioned DOT 3. Unless you want to flush the entire system and deal with the near impossibility of getting out all the air bubbles, stay away from the synthetic version. Regular DOT 3 is fine.
DOT ( 3 ) brake fluid
DOT 5 is best, do not mix or use dot 4 or dot 3/
It is a castor oil based brake fluid. Do not mix with systems requiring Dot 3 or Dot 4 which are glycol based.
DOT 4 has a higher boiling point than the similar glycol-based DOT 3 fluid, but for a daily driver vehicle such as the cobalt, DOT 3 will suffice. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT MIX DOT 3 WITH DOT 4.
Synthetic oil or a blend of Synthetic and regular oil is much better for your vehicle than regular oil alone. Synthetic oil is MUCH more expenshive. If you change your regular oil every 3 months or 3,000 miles I will be fine.
