Yes, this is an acceptable weight for your Blazer. Do not fall for the 3,000 mile oil change myth. That is a waste of oil and money. Change your oil according to the manufactures recommendations. On your Blazer that is probably 5,000 miles. Use a quality filter such as an AC/Delco, Purolator, or Wix.
