The filter is on the passenger side next to the frame rail. Buy the new filter and you will be able to know what size wrenches you need plus what it looks like when you get under the vechicle. Should be about a 10 minute job.
No, not unless you use to much.
The fuel filter on a 2006 Suburban is in the fuel tank. Chevy started putting the filter in the tank in 2005.
Replace it every 75,000 miles.
My understanding is that there may be a fuel filter inside the gas tank, but there also is a cannister filter along the inside of the frame rail on the drivers side of the truck. =========================================================== The fuel filter on a 1999 Suburban will be along the frame rail on the same side as the fuel tank and will be between the fuel tank and the engine. The canister filter is for your evaporative emissions and does not have a service replacement interval.
Should be under the vehicle along the frame - follow the fuel line from the tank
On my 1999 Chev Suburban the answer is the fuel filter. It appears when going uphill and trying to give it a lot of gas the engine is not get enough and misfires. I replace the fuel filter and the light goes away. It comes back after a while and I just change the fuel filter. I have 227,000 miles on my suburban
The fuel filter is in the fuel line underneath the truck. It's aluminum or black in color. The fuel line screws into one side and clips on the other.
YES. Bad fuel pump pressure can cause that problem too.
About half way down the driver's side inside the chasis rail.
Under the vehicle, drivers side slightly back of center.
Then you have a BAD fuel pump. Replace the pump and filter. If it is higher then 63 LBS. then the fuel pressure regulator is bad.
The 2003 Chevrolet Suburban fuel filter is located inside of the gas tank. You will to remove the gas tank in order to change the fuel filter.
