Yes, it can over or undercharge the battery. If i is overcharging it can ruin the battery. If it is under charging the battery will just run down. Check the voltage at the battery with the engine running. You should read around 13.5 to 15.5 volts.
No a bad batery could not cause the alternator to go bad .only if a big short happened to the battery and melted the cells in to a short inside the batt
Possibly a bad alternator. The Alternator charges the battery when the vehicle is running. If the battery is not being charged this could cause the vehicle not to start.
Your alternator could be bad.
Yes it can...you may have a bad cell in the battery.. even with a bad cell the battery may have enough charge to start the vehicle but it then puts the alternator under a heavy load as it tries to charge the battery...Have them both tested.... There is also the possibility that the bearings in the alternator may be worn which could cause excessive heating....
bad ignition switch, bad battery, bad alternator/regulator,
Bad connection, connections to battery aren't tight.
The answer is no . The battery starts you vehicle , the alternator charges the battery so if your alternator is bad your battery is not receiving a charge which will cause a "no start" condition.
Most likely a dead battery or bad cables. Or worse could be your alternator
bad alternator cable/corrosion bad battery
Yes
A bad alternator will cause a battery to go bad. It does not have an effect on the air conditioner.
If your battery is not fully functioning and needs to be replaced, it can make the alternator work harder. This could cause a brand new alternator to go bad. Check your battery, if the battery is not the issue, return the alternator, it should have a warranty on it for at least the first 30 days.
