The diagram has to be printed somewhere. Some cars have a label in the engine compartment, some drawing in the manual.
The rule of thumb is that the crankshaft pulley needs to have about 180 degrees loop of belt on it. So looking on the engine from front and going clockwise the belt goes under the crankshaft pulley, wraps it toward 2 o'clock, where usually is a tensioner on idler pulley, than goes back toward 8 o'clock, loops on whatever is there and than wraps around all the pulleys on the engine.

To replace the V-belt on a Mercedes Sprinter van, first, ensure the engine is off and cool. Locate the belt routing diagram, usually found on a sticker in the engine compartment, and then use a wrench to relieve tension on the tensioner pulley. Remove the old belt and install the new one, following the routing diagram carefully. Finally, check the tension and ensure everything is properly aligned before starting the engine.

To replace the belt on a 2003 Mercedes Benz Sprinter, first, locate the tensioner pulley and use a wrench or ratchet to relieve tension on the belt. Remove the old belt from the pulleys, taking note of the routing for the new belt. Install the new belt following the routing diagram, ensuring it sits properly on all pulleys. Finally, reapply tension using the tensioner and double-check the belt alignment before starting the engine.
