Yellow
The yellow is unswitched 12V (battery) red is switched 12V (ignition) black is ground the rest should be speakers. usually there's 2 of each color, one solid and one with a black line on it. so if you have one solid purple and one purple w.black line, solid is pos. for a single speaker and black line is neg for that speaker. So say you have 4 colors that one of each has a black line on. it doesnt really matter which is which, it will just mess with your stereo (i mean left/right, not your physical stereo) Hooking up an aftermarket stereo is usually trial & error. keep trying till you get it right, just make sure you get power to only yellow & red. Sorry if this is confusing. Check installdr.com to see if they have a guide for your car. What model it it? if not, have a look at installdr.com -theo Hi, I have a 7256 Alpine car stereo without a wiring diagram. This is from around 1987. What should the colored wires be connected to? The colors are: red, black, dark blue, purple, gray, yellow white, green, and brown. A second red wire is labeled "for interface 2007." Thanks Phil Cruz (cruzer50)

If you check the radio it should say the red wire is for "switched" power and the yellow wire is for constant power the car is turning off the power to the memory of the radio you need to find a constant power for the yellow wire..
maybe yellow because the bells. maybe green because of the elves
It is important to ensure there is no yellow wire connected to the thermostat because the yellow wire is typically used for controlling the air conditioning system. Connecting it incorrectly can cause malfunctions or damage to the HVAC system.
You probably have to pull the head unit out and it is inline of the yellow (Switched positive source) wire.
round- leaved pennycress, alpine butterwort, garland flower, pansies, spring sow bread, and yellow asphodel
There is no body of water between them. They are connected by land.
Memory (+12v Constant)Yellow should have power with the key offIgnition (+12v Switched)Red should only have power with key on
the black wire or yellow wire are not connected right
there are 2 power wires that go into the back of the unit. the yellow wire must always be directly connected to the battery. the red wire is switched; when this wire gets power it turns on. the yellow wire must get constant power so it can save your stations. think, you know how when you change the battery in your car or it goes dead you lose your stations and clock? this is because the yellow wire lost the constant power it needs to keep your stations
