They do not actually turn at all. Simply pry it upward with a flat object

On a 2001 C240 Mercedes, the cylinders are numbered from the front of the engine to the back. For the V6 engine, the numbering starts with cylinder 1 on the passenger side (right side when facing the car) and continues to cylinder 3, while on the driver's side (left side), it is numbered 4 to 6. This configuration is standard for most Mercedes V6 engines.
The primary latch is under the dash on the left side. As far as the safety, it should be a "T" pull that sticks out partially from the grill. NOT under.

You take a screw driver and place it on the left side of the compartment and push the screw driver left so the drawer moves to the right while you do that try wiggling the drawer it will come right out!
The fuel filter is under the car right in front of the left rear tire. There will be a black plastic cover you need to remove to access the fuel filter.
Slide your finger from left to right or right to left on the screen.
