Probably not if the current is small like 2 amps. Capacitors are used in heavy current applications when the BASS hits hard to sustain the amperage to the amplifier for a small amount of time such as a second or less.

What gauge wire to use for a sub panel?

That would depend upon how many amps will be used in the sub-panel. For example, a 30-A subpanel would need a minimum of 10 AWG feeder conductors.

What size wire do you need for 15 amps?

AWG 10.

Would a 12 volt battery need to use a capacitor to run a 1000 or 760 watt amp?

I have a 760 watt amp powering 2 10" subs and it works fine. my brother has a 1000 watt amp powering 2 12" subs and he got a capacitor. So it really depends on what amp your looking at. if the 760w you wont need one, if the 1000w i would be safe and buy a capacitor. for the 1000w amp you would only need a 1 or 2 farad capacitor.

What is 10 miliamps equivalent to?

10 milliamps is equivalent to 0.01 amps (10 milliamps = 0.01 amps).

Problem this fan draws 30 amps for an instant to start then settles to 10 amps Can a capacitor be used in line to take the load off the switch and provide the extra amps needed to start the fan?

Not really, unless you have a capacitor start type of motor. Capacitors can be very hazardous if improperly connected to mains power and I wouldn't suggest your trying it if you're not experienced or qualified. Best bet is just to get a heavier swicth or use a heavy duty switching relay.

Amps to watts?

To convert amps to watts, you need to know the voltage of the circuit. The formula to calculate watts is: Watts = Amps x Volts. Multiply the current in amps by the voltage in volts to get the power in watts.

What capacity generator do you need to produce 10 amps?

Small generators are sized in watts. Watts is the product of amps times volts. To properly answer this question a voltage for your 10 amps must be stated. That said small generator outputs are usually 120/240 volts in North America. So 10 amps at 120 volts equal 1200 watts. 10 amps at 240 volts equal 2400 watts. A 3000 watt generator will be amply for your 10 amp load.

How many watt is ten amps?

To calculate the wattage of a device using 10 amps, you would need to know the voltage it operates on. The formula is Watts = Amps x Volts. So, for example, at 120 volts, 10 amps would be equal to 1200 watts.

Which subwoofer can I replace for the 2001 Lexus gs300 is it 4ohm or 8ohm?

its a 6ohm sub in the stock location. if you are going to replace it you will need to purchase a good amp. the stock amp does not have adequate power to power any other sub. 10" Kicker comp subs make a great replacement, and get an amp that is half the RMS power input of the sub. make shure that you are reading the AMPs RMS power output.
