the bolt patterens are different if you change the bellhousing it will work
The Ford 302 engine will not bolt to the 300 six-cylinder bell housing. A new bell housing or a Bell housing modification kit will need to be used.
no, it won't
The bell housing is the front of the transmission ( the larger diameter portion ) where the transmission is bolted to the engine
The automatic transmission housing / case is a single casting, so the bell housing cannot be detached separately.
Yes you can change the bell-housing from 3.0 v6 or 4.0v6 and 2.5 2.3 4 cyls all have removable bell-housing hope this helps
it is inside the bell housing
the bell housing bolt pattern is the same but the flywheel on 460 is thicker and makes they pressure plate hit bellhousing from 351m/400 there for it will not work you have to have a bellhousing from a 429 or 460
The front pump is incorperated in bell housing
The C4 will bolt up to the 302 with the correct bell housing.
I'm not a mechanic / technician but I believe it is on the drivers side of the transmission , extended out from the bell housing , where the hydraulic line enters the bell housing for the slave cylinder
No it won't the 360 has an almost perfectly round bell housing ..and the 300 6 is the small block bell housing which has the top two bolt holes higher so it will not line up
yes, a very good match. this combo started in the mid sixties with the Ford Mustangs. I have had several with a c-4/c-6 tranny. yep, take a c6 trans, and use a c4 bell housing.
