no it needs only moderate torque starter.
Same bolt pattern, the only difference is the torque they put out. Most of the 350s will be of the High torque. Look at the starter solenoid where the wires hook up. On the bottom of the solenoid look for a copper tube like extention. For a high torque it will extend back towards the end plate. The regular one is more on the main body of the starter. If it was me I would just stay with the regular. 305's dont' need much umph to get spinning.
Yes, but the big block may need a hi-torque starter.
The vehicle manufacturer will quote a torque figure for the EGR valve but in practice most mechanics no not torque them.
Depends on the specific engine, need to know what vehicle and year.
Sufficient to overcome the inertia and friction of the vehicle.
On my truck ( 1994 Chevrolet ) it is on the starter. If you want an answer about another vehicle you will need to ask a new question and include year, make, and model. On my truck ( 1994 Chevrolet ) it is on the starter. In order to wire the starter on a Pontiac Sunfire, you will need a jack, jack stand, socket set, and a torque wrench. You will need to make sure to remove the battery cables from the battery.
yes it will fit. you will have to make your motor mounts or try to find someone that makes them. I think you will need a mini high torque starter and if you have a 4.3 then the transmission will bolt up. I am not sure this is all you will need, but it is the things I know you will need.
There are torque specs for every nut and bolt on that vehicle. You need to narrow it down which one you want.
An automotive starter is a high torque motor that generally works until it just quits. Heat generated from hard (long) starts shortens the life. Mis starts, grinding teeth, slow cranking and spinning free are indicators
Remove - battery cable Raise and support vehicle Disconnect the wiring at the top of the starter Remove starter mounting bolts Remove starter
your spacer plate and starter should be the same the flex plate and converter will need to be replaced
