In Short, No.
In Long, No, it goes into the core support which also is where the radiator mounts into.
Yes but the hood latch has to be relocated.
According to my trusty Haynes manual, it's not that big a deal. The hood latch is attached to the radiator support and is attached with 2 bolts. Before replacing it, scribe a line around -- or use a Sharpie marker to outline -- the placement of the current latch. Remove the bolts and the cable release linkage. Installation is the reverse of removal. After installing the new latch using the scribed lines as a guide, check the fit of the hood. It should be flush with the fenders and the nosepiece. If it isn't, adjustments can be made by loosening the latch mounting bolts and sliding the latch up, down, left, or right and then tightening the bolts. Enjoy.
as long as you can get the latches in the back of the hood to match up as well and the hood latch in the front you should be good.
Not without changing a lot of other parts, radiator support grills fender moldings and stone shield.
yes, with modifications to the mounts/mounting brackets, hood, and radiator support; it is not a job for beginners
Not sure what you need answered but I have had an issue 2 times now where the hood latch won't release my hood. In my case I had to gently using a wedge pry the front of my hood open enough that I could fit my ratchet with an extention and a 13mm socket to the bolts that hold down the latch and open my hood. So hope it works out for you and maybe this might help too.
any radiator support from 68 to 72 chevelle's should work.
No, none of those will fit without extensive fabrication.
No the dimensions for the two hoods are slightly different. It will latch and fit pretty snug but it will be slightly too long.
I have a 98 sport Cherokee and when I put a 800 cca battery in it, it was taller, but I wanted to make it fit. We had to bend the hood latch wire that was hitting the corner of battery out of the way slightly in order for the latch to grap and lock, took a while to achieve this but it has worked 100% since. Badgirl.AnswerNow that I look at the underside of hood, we also took a hammer to the underside of hood over the battery. Hmmmm. Badgirl.
yes , they are the same bolt patters , might have to change light connections , just put a 85 Scottsdale radiator support on my 91 suburban
The '70-'72 grill and bumper will not fit '73-'76 without also changing fenders, hood, and radiator core support. However, if you desire to change over all of those pieces as well, they will bolt on and align properly.
