Oil capacity varies according to manufacturer and engine, ball park for US V8 4qts and 1 qt for filter

The capacity should be listed in the owners manual. If you have no owners manual it is easy to find out. Park the vehicle on a level surface. Drain the oil and change the filter. Add (4 quarts 4 cylinder & V6- 5 quarts V8) of the correct weight oil. Start the engine and run for 45 seconds. Shut off and wait 30 minutes. Check the oil level and add as necessary to reach the full mark.Do not overfill. You now know the capacity.
