mine doesn't have plug wires but mines a 4.6. It has individual coils on the plugs.
The 95 lx sequence is 1,3,4,2. Not sure if this helps or not, but may be a try.

wire diagram for 1999 Ford F250 diesel glow plug relay
what is the spark wire routing ford 3.0
on the coils from back to front it is 1423 for plug wire location
pull a spark plug one at a time . leave it attached to the plug wire and hold the plug right next to the frame or something that will make a good ground. be sure and hold the spark plug wire boot and not the plug itself or youll get a shock you wont soon forget. i even use pliers myself. as the plug is grounded to the frame crank the engine and look for a bright blue spark . if you have spark your coils are working . no spark could be coils, plug wires, etc
Pull the plug wires and one plug, plug the plug into the wire and hold it to the block crank the car over if no spark the coils or the ICM is bad
The Ford 5.4 has ALWAYS had the Coil On Plug ( C.O.P. ) ignition system with ( 8 ) individual coils
not too hard..you can remove your intake system and look where the spark plug wires meet at the top and the coils are what the wire run into ...but id do them one at a time so your plug wires dont get mixed up on the coils..could do some damage
