The fuel filter is a cylinder about the size of a small can of red bull located behind the front right wheel. You can see it if you lie on the ground and scoot along the ground behind the front tire (engine off, transmission in park, emergency brake set and it wouldn't hurt to block the tires if the car is not level) and look towards the rear of the car and you should see it angling upwards towards the engine. You will probably need quick release fuel line disconnector gizmos to remove it. The quick release gizmos are just a few dollars at auto parts stores and fairly simple to use. But you will also probably need new orings when you install the new one. BTW The fuel pump for the 1992 Olds 88 is in the fuel tank.
