The gas goes to the piston chamber not the spark plug. Is your fuel pump working and if so are the jets blocked.
if it just sputters and runs the battery down, it is not getting gas or could not be getting spark. the fuel pump could be bad. disconnect it at the fuel filter below the driver's door, have someone turn it over to see if it spits gas. no spark; pull a spark plug, leave it in the wire and turn it over to see if the spark plug sparks.
Try starting the engine, pull the spark plug out and see if it is wet with gas, if it is you might not have any spark(possible from a fouled spark plug) or it might have low compression, put the plug into the spark plug boot and set the tip of the plug onto something that is metal on the engine and turn the engine over. you should see spark, no spark=ignition problem. If the plug is not wet the engine isn't getting any gas and you have a carburetor problem.
The device that ignites gas in a car engine is the spark plug. The spark plug will not work without a device, called a coil, that sends a signal to the spark plug to tell it when to spark.
Spark plug wire not connected to spark plug? Spark plug wire connected to Wrong spark plug? Vacuum line disconnected? Bad spark plug or wire?
Look at the starter or the spark plug
How easy is it to replace a spark plug wire on a gas weed eater?
out of gas/ new spark plugs/ new oil/ a clog in your gas filter and its not getting through there are 2 things that could cause a car not to start. its not getting fuel to the carbuerator or not getting spark to the spark plugs. remove the air cleaner, manually pump the throttle, look to see if gas is squirting into the carbuerator. remove a spark plug wire from a spark plug, stick a screw driver into the spark plug wire, hold hold the shaft of the screw driver within about a quarter of an inch of a metal surface while somebody cranks the engine and look for spark.
This is kinda "old school", but it works. Remove the plug from the cylinder in question, as well as the plug wire from the distributor cap or coil pack. YOU DO NOT WANT A SPARK GOING NEAR THAT CYLINDER. Then just turn the engine over and see if gas comes out the spark plug hole.
That is normal. That gas would fire if the plug was in.
Spark plug is under gas tank. you must remove gas tank then pull coil pack off top of plug. plug is way down in head. you need plug socket and extension to get it.
you're not getting it seated all the way. the clip has to snap onto the top of the spark plug.
my kx 250 is not getting spark
