I have a 92 cavalier and it was diagnosed with a bad EGR valve. Relpaced it it idles better but under a load it still runs bad. Any ideas?
When the EGR valve goes bad, it circulates very rich mixture back through the intake. You most likely have fouled spark plugs.

I'd suspect a vacuum leak or a problem with the EGR valve, but if I were working on it I wouldn't replace anything until I've had a chance to check into it further. Clean the air intake mass air flow sensor with carb cleaner. . How can you crank it "in gear"??? You got sensor problems.

Check Rubber Inlet Hose from air filter for cracks (need to wip it off to properly check-----as for slow pulling away,if the brakes arn't binding check spark plugs..
