Your alignment is off. (Imagine one front wheel turning left and the other turning right) Take it to a shop to have them realigned. Usually costs around $50 for front two wheels, around $80 for all four.
The Steering locks might be damaged in the rack and pinion or the teeth them selves in the rack and pinion could be stripped Also the problem might be in the steering linkage going to the rack and pinion.
You more than likely bent the wheel or you threw a weight off and the tire is out of balance. Have your tires balanced. They will know if you bent the wheel.

depends on if you are parked on a hill or not on an up hill with a curb turn away from the curb, on an hill with no curb turn to the ps of vehicle, other than that you should always keep your wheels straight when parked on a flat or even surface no grade!

It is possible to damage the power steering pump by attempting to turn the wheel against an immovable object thereby over-stressing the the internal seals and/or other mechanical components.
