Wire and a small device called a 'thermistor'
To wire a 12V 3-prong flasher, connect the power wire from the flasher to the battery positive terminal, the ground wire to the vehicle chassis ground, and the output wire to the turn signal switch or indicator. Ensure the wiring is secure and use proper connectors to prevent any short circuits.
In the driver's compartment on the left side above and slightly forward of the fuse box. It's the unit with a three wire connector. WRONG! Its a 8 wire connector relay box.Thats from the schematic diagram in Mazdas wiring manual. The 3 wire is a relay for the emergency flasher relay. I don't know where it is.
look under the drivers side dashboard you will find the combination flasher unit, it is square and has a wire connector going into the side Try this site out, it might help you out. http://autorepair.about.com/library/pictures/illustrations/bl703lib.htm
Edited: The flasher for the turn signals is usually located on or near the column under the dash. Unscrew the three screws holding the cover on. The flasher unit is that 1" cylindrical unit with two posts plugged in to a wire. To replace, unplug, and plug in a new one. The hazard flasher is a separate system. Unedited: Look at the hazzard flasher; usually in fuse box round 1" or square 1") to get an idea of what it looks like and pull it out; then when you think you have found the turn signal unit, plug it in to see if that fixes it.
4 wire connection:Black wire to right turn lamps, front and back.Gray wire to left turn lamps, front and back.White wire to a solid ground on the vehicle.Yellow wire to the flasher terminal marked "L".Blue wire to the flasher terminal marked "P". For pilot light on switch. Not needed if there are dash direction indicator lamps.Connect a fused "Hot" wire from the battery or accessory side of ignition switch to "X"terminal on flasher.
depends on whether thermo used on gas or elec. unit, heat pump, strip heat, etc. red wire is hot wire. White wire goes to heat. yellow wire goes to outdoor unit contactor. green wire goes to indoor fan. blue or brown wire goes to reversing valve on outdoor unit.
You will have to get behind the dash board with a flash light, there is a cilender shaped box behind abunch of wires, just drivers side of the steering colum. It is labled "flasher", you will most likely need a pair of pliers to take it out, it has a red wire and a blue going to it.
Millemeters
The turn signal flasher is under the left side cover, just below the round thingie (starter selenoid) and forward of the fuse box. It is a metal retangular object held in a rubber sleeve with a black and a grey wire plugged into it. Depending on where your bike was first sold there may also be a green wire plugged in to the flasher, or the green wire may be just dangling behind the flasher unused.
The recommended wire size for an AC unit installation is typically 10-gauge wire.
Well, we'd need to know voltage, amperage, material used in the wire (copper or aluminum), and the length the wire will extend from the power source.
