Oil pressure test.
To connect the oil gauge in a Mitsubishi 3000GT, first, locate the oil pressure sender unit, typically found near the oil filter. Disconnect the existing wire from the sender and connect the new oil gauge wire to the sender. Ensure the connections are secure and that the gauge is properly calibrated. Finally, reconnect the battery and test the gauge to ensure it's functioning correctly.

Check oil pressure with a manual gauge
Need oil change or oil pump weak or oil pressure sending unit not reading properly.
Check the oil level to make sure that it is full. The oil filter could be clogged, the oil pump could not be working properly, the oil pressure sending unit could be bad, or there is an internal engine failure.
To test an oil pump, first ensure that the vehicle is off and cool. Remove the oil pressure sending unit or oil pressure gauge and use an oil pressure gauge to measure the oil pressure while cranking the engine. If the pressure reading is within the manufacturer's specified range, the pump is likely functioning properly. Additionally, you can check for proper oil flow by observing the oil return to the oil pan or using a flow meter if available.
no if the oil pressure gauge light is on it means that your car dose not have the oil pressure needed to properly oil the moving components, if you are sure that this is not the problem then replace the sensor and the light should shut off.
Either the oil gauge is not working, or the oil pump is not working, in which case your engine would blow due to lack of lubrication.
