To wire a switch to a relay, first connect one terminal of the switch to the positive power source. Then, connect the other terminal of the switch to the relay's coil terminal. Next, connect the other coil terminal of the relay to the ground. This setup allows the switch to control the relay, activating it when the switch is closed.
The speed sensor wire is connected to the speed sensor and goes to the speed sensor relay switch. The speed sensor relay switch is connected to the computer by a separate wire.
It is not recommended to wire a cooling fan directly to a light relay as the fan may draw more current than the relay is rated for. It is safer and more reliable to use a dedicated fan relay and wiring harness designed for the specific application.
I removed the Relay.......Cut wire From Trans Connector/Heat shrink...... Ran wire to connect shifter wire (one side)...Replaced switch with off/on switch/led ....Super glued on shifter...4th Gear switch (forward position)...3rd Gear back position...Other side of wire connected to accessory power.... Problem solved...Switch $ 8.00 at Radio Shack... Dedicated Shifter...No Relay....
Take the relay out and hot wire the pump. If it works, its not the pump.
Thats green and black wire is the switch wire for the compressor clutch. Trace the fault back to the relay. Bridge the relay out and see if the compressor comes in, if so its either the relay, switch or fuse. If not then its the feed to the relay. The system WILL have a fuse and a relay. Hope this helps.
Blown fuse? Bad Relay? Open wire?
The emergency reset switch is in the trunk on the hinge. The relay is located in the engine compartment on the fender on the driver's side. The power is the yellow wire and the orange wire goes to the reset switch in the trunk. The relay only stays energized for a short time if no fuel pressure is found.
get a pice of wire set it to the cooling relay switch run it under the hood to the door get a switch from auto zone connect it and your done
To wire a kill switch to the fuel pump of a 1998 Honda Civic EX, first locate the fuel pump relay in the fuse box under the dashboard. Cut the power wire leading to the relay (usually the green wire) and connect one end to one terminal of the kill switch. Connect the other terminal of the kill switch back to the fuel pump relay where the original wire was cut. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated to prevent short circuits.
take a wire and jump each switch
The fuel pump relay is a switch that let's a very small wire from a cars computer operate a component such as a fan or fuel pump that takes way more current than the small trigger wire could handle.
If you have a new starter with solenoid,do you still wire it to the firewall solenoid switch?Because wire is smoking on the switch and battery terminals. No rotation, just clicking.
