open the passenger front door, remove the right side dash cover by gently pulling it away from the dash. look inside and you will see the damper for the glove box( looks like a black cylinder with a rod coming out of it) remove from the glove box. now remove the black stoppers inside the glove box(on the sides) this will allow the glove box to drop down. now you can see the evaporator case. notice the door with the tabs on both sides. squeeze the tabs together and the cabin filter will slide out. be sure when you remove the cabin filter, not to drop any leaves that may be laying on top into the blower which is directly below it. this will make a loud humming noise when you use your a/c. on the 06+ sonata's you can reach your hand in and remove them though. reinstall filter and your all done.

I did not think this car had a cabin filter. If it does just call the Dealer.
Well I'm thinking that most manufacturers keep the cabin air filter in the same place. I have a 1999 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6 and the cabin air filter in that car is back behind the glove box....if I am right about this your cars air filter should be in the same place...but if it's not there I would call the dealership and talk to them about it.
The cabin air filter is behind the glove box. The glove box will need to be dropped down or completely removed to gain access to the filter.

The cabin air filter is located behind the glove compartment. Un hook the glove compartment on each side & you can pull the cabin air filter holder(bracket) out. It should show you this in your maintenance manual.
The 1995 Sonata cabin air filter is located behind the kick plate on the passenger side of the passenger compartment. You will need to remove the kick plate in order to access the cabin filter.
behind the glove box. remove the glove box and there is a ribbed rectangular panel, the cabin filter is in there. diy because i understand the dealer charges around $90 to replace it, (the paper filter is only around $20, activated carbon is $35) and it only takes about 15 minutes to change.
Somewhere in/under dashboard (you may be lucky enough to pop off a cover to reach filter) Was your problem diagnosed by someone with blend door operation experiance?
