How do I fix a timing belt for a 2001 4x4 450 four wheeler
yfz 450 or a 450 r
Generally you need to change timing belt around 60-70K miles. Timing belt change cost around $400-450.
ltr 450r
$450-850
You should replace the water pump, tensioner, seals, and drive belts with the timing belt. It should be no more than 450 dollars.
Probably $450 and up, depending where you live and where you take it.
I spent $450 about 3 years ago on this
do you have a timing diagram for a suzuki 450 motorcycle
The Lexus RX 450h, which features a hybrid powertrain, uses a timing chain rather than a timing belt. Timing chains generally require less maintenance and typically last longer than belts. This design choice contributes to the overall durability and reliability of the engine.
Given the extensive amount of disassembly required, this could cost anywhere from $450 and up.
If it's a V6, the water pump sits behind the timing belt and, frankly, in a very annoying and awkward spot. My experience was that the new water pump was $130 and the labour was about $450. The timing belt needs to be removed for access and they often recommend replacing the timing belt and water pump at the same time as it is way cheaper than doing them individually 12 months apart.
Approx every 60000 miles. Keep in mind that this is a critical repair. Without getting too technical, if the timing belt breaks, the piston can stike the intake or exhaust valve, bending it. If that happens the cost to repair that damage is between $2500 and $3500. The cost for a timing belt should be about $350 - $450. Most of that will be labor charge (the belt itself is only about $80) however this not really a do it yourself repair.
