On all Eaton-Fuller transmissions, the fill plug is on the left side of the transmission. You insert the drive end of a 1/2" socket into it, and turn it counterclockwise to unthread it. That's where the transmission oil goes. Eaton-Fuller recommends you use either 50W synthetic, or 80W if you're going with mineral oil.
You shouldn't have to.
You dont add transmission fluid to a 5 speed, you use geer oil.
If it's a 5-speed manual oil is added through a plug on the side, there should be no need to add oil unless there is a leak. On an automatic oil is added through the dipstick tube normally.
Heavier weight oil might work in warm climates but I wouldn't put it in north of Texas. Eaton specs 50 wt. synthetic in their 18 speeds.
If you mean transmission oil, you don't add any. The transmission is sealed, it never needs oil.
Eaton Fuller recommends 50W synthetic. Not sure about other transmission manufacturers.
Careful here. The 1992 Ranger with a 5 speed manual required Automatic Transmission Fluid. Ford applications require Mercon-Desron II or III. Do NOT add the SAE60-90 gear oil to this vehicle, play it safe and add the ATF.
Eaton-Fuller recommends either 50W synthetic or 80 weight mineral oil.
There is normally a plug on the upper side of the transmission under the vehicle. That is where you add oil. Add oil until it runs out. It is then full.
On manual transmission until oil flows out of full level hole. on most manual transmission the refill hole is the oil level. On automatic transmission if no oil shows on dipstick add a quart at a time.
There is a plug on the side of the transmission and you will need a funal with a long hose. Do not put transmission fluid in the trans. I believe that they use 30 weight oil for these cars. Be sure to check with your local auto parts store.
Remove shifter and add oii through the top
