To adjust the oil pump on a Yamaha PW50, first locate the oil pump on the side of the engine. You will find a cable connected to the throttle; adjust the cable tension to ensure it opens the pump fully when the throttle is fully opened. Additionally, check the oil flow by observing the oil line while revving the engine; ensure that oil is being delivered consistently. If needed, consult the owner's manual for specific adjustment details and torque specifications.
Think it can be done by the cable the one from the revs that splits into the oil pump
Oil pump is located on front of engine on left side if sitting on machine . Take the screws out of cover and adjust cable to adjust pump .
it is oil injected
10w 30 1/3 qt
32:1 works out 156.25ml oil to five litres petrol
You don't. You can remove pump and pre-mix the gas.
if you take apart your head gasket and then replace the oil pump then you might not even have to adjust your suspension
Could be either, Yamaha made both a 2 and 4 stroke PW50, affectionately known as PeeWee. One way to tell is look for a dip=stick for crankcase oil. No dipstick= 2 stroke. Dipstick means a crankcase with oil. Check your owners manual, if it says to mix oil in gas,= 2 stroke.
th purpose of an oil pump is to PUMP...OIL
there's an oil injecter under the seat that you fill with oil. you dont mix directly in fuel tank. verify injecter is there and full before operating.
For a Yamaha PW50, it's recommended to use a high-quality, two-stroke oil specifically designed for air-cooled engines. Look for oils that meet or exceed the JASO FC or ISO EGD specifications. Mixing the oil with gasoline typically follows a ratio of 50:1, but always refer to the owner's manual for the exact recommendations. Using the correct oil ensures optimal performance and engine longevity.
