The idle air control valve is what is being tightened. If the valve is tighten and the idle is still erratic there is a leak somewhere. Take the IACV out and have it cleaned. Also check the vacuum lines on the car.

How do you adjust air fuel mixture of 94 accord?

To adjust the air-fuel mixture on a 1994 Honda Accord, you'll typically need to check and adjust the idle air control valve (IACV) and the throttle position sensor (TPS) for proper operation, as these components influence the mixture. Additionally, ensure that the engine is in good condition, with clean air and fuel filters and functioning sensors. If the vehicle has a manual adjustment screw on the carburetor or throttle body, you can adjust it to fine-tune the mixture, but it's essential to use a wideband O2 sensor or similar tool for accurate readings. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for specific procedures and specifications.

Why is your 400ex backfiring when you leave off the throttle?

Backfiring in a Honda 400EX when you let off the throttle is often caused by an overly rich fuel mixture, which can result from a dirty air filter, incorrect carburetor settings, or an exhaust leak. Additionally, it may be due to unburned fuel igniting in the exhaust system. Check the carburetor and adjust the air-fuel mixture, and inspect the exhaust for any leaks to resolve the issue. Regular maintenance can help prevent this problem from occurring.

The little box attached to the throttle sensor on a Honda Foreman 500 is typically the throttle position sensor (TPS). This sensor monitors the position of the throttle and sends this information to the engine control unit (ECU) to adjust fuel injection and ignition timing for optimal engine performance. Proper functioning of the TPS is crucial for maintaining throttle response and overall engine efficiency. If it malfunctions, it can lead to issues such as poor acceleration or stalling.
