To adjust the power take-off (PTO) on a Massey Ferguson 1135 tractor, first ensure the tractor is on a level surface and safely parked. Locate the PTO control lever, usually found on the dashboard or near the operator's seat, and adjust it to the desired position for engaging or disengaging the PTO. You may also need to check and adjust the PTO speed settings according to the implement being used. Always refer to the operator’s manual for specific instructions and safety precautions.
The abbreviation for power take off is PTO.

In order to take off the existing alternator belt you must take off the power steering belt first. For each belt (the alternator belt and the power steering belt) you will need to loosen a couple of bolts that hold the belts tight. There is also a bolt used to adjust the belt tension that you must adjust. I would purchase a CHILTON or HAYNES maintenance manual from an auto parts store or a book store. It will explain this very well and it has pictures.
If you take the cover off of your throttle handle, there should be a screw on the side to adjust the friction.
To fit the fan belt on an MF 1135, first, ensure the engine is off and cool. Loosen the tensioner pulley by adjusting the bolt to relieve tension on the old belt, then remove it. Place the new fan belt around the pulleys, ensuring it follows the correct routing as per the diagram in the service manual. Finally, adjust the tensioner to apply proper tension to the new belt and tighten all bolts securely.
