how do i adjust the chain on a Suzuki 230 quad runner
With a screwdriver and a set of dentures.
You always start counting from the timing belt/chain. Cylinder 4 is the one closest to the windshield on a SLK 230.
If there is no compression after changing the timing chain on a 230 SLK, it could indicate that the timing chain was not installed correctly, leading to misalignment of the camshaft and crankshaft. This misalignment prevents the engine's valves from opening and closing at the proper times, resulting in a loss of compression. Additionally, if the timing chain was replaced without addressing worn components or if any debris was left in the combustion chamber, this could also contribute to the issue. It's crucial to double-check the timing marks and ensure proper installation during the repair.

Take the caps off the top of the valve cover. Then you will see and 10 mm nut with a screw turn it accordingly to the specs for the valves. Then tighten the nut and your done.
