Fill it up, start it and turn wheel back and forth. Turn it off for 5 min. And repeat till quiet.

There are multiple methods to purging power steering systems of old fluid. In this application one do it yourself method requires the use of a turkey baster and container for used fluid. Using the baster old fluid can be sucked out of the power steering reservoir. Once emptied it can be filled with fresh fluid. Doing this procedure will extract much but not all of the old fluid. Another option is disconnecting all the lines and letting the system drain, and then recharging.
It does not matter on that year, just make sure that it is POWER STEERING FLUID.

Yes you can. Go to a auto wrecking yard and purchase the power steering box, hoses, belts, pulleys and pump, along with all the brackets and bolts from the same truck as yours that has power steering.
