you dont bleed cooling systems you have to take it to a mech. shop or have the proper equipment and the r-134a on hand to do it your self.
There is no reason to ever bleed a cooling system.
no bleeding necessary, just run the engine and refill the radiator/reservoir back to capacity.
If you are close to a Lincoln dealership, go to the parts dept. and they will print you out a diagram of what you want. Ford may be able to do it too.
Let the engine cool off after being run.The cooling system pressure is a result of the coolant being heated - once the heat dissipates, so will the pressure, making it safe to remove the top of the coolant reservoir.
how do I bleed my power steering pete thank you
7.5L?
on the side of the thermostat housing there is a small screw with the motor is running make sure the heater is on loosen the screw let the water run until you see a steady flow then tighten back up. I disagree with the previous poster. The cooling system is bled by loosening the screw on the metal pipe just behind the water pump housing. The pipe goes upward off the housing and has a bleed screw on the end of it. To Bleed the cooling system, turn the heater to full hot and open the screw and add coolant to the resevior until you get a bubble free flow of coolant from the bleed screw. At this point the system is bled and just tighten the screw.
You need to check out the Bongo Fury website as this site has all information on most Mazda Bongo's. If you join the Bongo Fury members club you also have access to downloads, one of which shows you how to bleed the cooling system step by step. Hope this helps!
on the 94 there is a bleed valve on the top of the intake manifold right next to the air idle control valve. it is just a bolt sticking up. check out the haynes repair manual. they show a nice pic of it.
