How do you change the spark plugs on a 1996 Volkswagen?

To change the spark plugs on a 1996 Volkswagen, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove the ignition coil or spark plug wires to access the plugs, then use a spark plug socket and ratchet to unscrew the old plugs. Check the gap on the new spark plugs and install them by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten them with the ratchet. Finally, reconnect the ignition components and the battery terminal.

How do you change spark plugs on a 1998 Beetle?

I did a spark plug change on my 1998 VW beetle. It's very tedious and time consuming. My brother who is a mechanic helped me and he broke my spark plugs wires. It better to find a shop that you can trust to do the work. Make sure that you get the NGK spark plugs and I telling you know you might want to get spark plug wires. The run around 100.00 because of the metal tips. If you can help it don't go the dealer.
