Then unlock it via the key (manually). then turn the key to the first setting, you must do it quickly as it has a timer for the alarm. then you can disconnect the battery and replace/charge it. when you're done, put the battery back in and turn the ignition back off and its back to normal again. It will ask you for a code if you have satnav but its written in the book.
