It is quite a simple job on the 2.0Cdti Procedure is as follows. Should take approx 2 hrs
1. Remove underbody shield ,should be 6 bolts (13mm) you should see the pump just tucked behind the bumper on the drivers side.
2. Disconnect the the return pipe (the one with the spring clip) and drain the
the fluid.
3. Undo the top hose (inlet feed) 17mm spanner required. BE CAREFUL no to kink the metal pipe part of the hose. There is a rubber "O"ring on the end of the pipe, don't lose that.
4. Release tensioner in order to take the belt off of the pulley. The tensioner is
one of the 2 smaller pulleys (nearest the bulkhead) you will need a 15mm spanner to pull the pulley away from the belt.
5. undo the three bolts holding the pulley onto the pump. There is an allen key
fitting on the spindle of the pump. use the allen key to stop the pump turning when undoing the pulley bolts
6. There are 3 bolts holding the pulley on, 2 at the bottom opposite each other and one on the top. undo these and let the pump drop out. Warning, there will still be fluid in the pump, so get ready with a container.
7. There are a range of pumps available and mine is a bolt on 6 groove pulley
pump. You will need to check which yours is as they come in 5,6,7, groove and
also bolt on and press fit pulleys. The bolt on, you will need to keep the pulley.
the press fit will come with the pulley already on.
8. Refitting in the reverse of removal.
WARNING
The top hose metal fitting often gets corroded and end up kinking the pipe. if it will not budge, take the pump out with pipe on, once lowered down, whilst holding the pipe, turn the pump to release it. You now need to clean the pipe. I took the "o"ring off the pipe and heated the pipe to release the union fitting. once if is free AND COOLED DOWN, spray with WD40
Hope this is of help
were is the power steering fluid resovoir on vauxhall signum 53 diesel
Hi, you probably have an airlock in the system, if you bleed the system by putting steering on a full lock whilst vehicle is running both ways and rock it slightly this should eventually release the air.
The power steering pump resivoir.
This would be a big job, involving a complete new EPS steering column and wiring loom so the control unit can be connected up.Suggest you contact a vauxhall service dept. for a full answer regarding prices. Most people who decide they need power steering just change the car.
The Vauxhall Vivaro 2700 CDTI SWB typically has a power output of around 90 to 115 bhp, depending on the specific model and engine variant. To get the exact bhp for your specific vehicle, it's best to check the owner's manual or contact a Vauxhall dealer with your vehicle's VIN number.
