The oil filter and sump for the 2007 Getz at least can be found at the bottom of the engine bay. You have to get under the car so ensure the hand brake is on.
The filter is under the engine, on the driver side of the car but not too much off centre. It is partly hidden by a plastic shield which can be taken of with the help of your 10mm socket and extension. But not absolutely necessary to remove the plastic shield.
The sump is directly behind that (towards the back of the car), and the plug is on the rear of that, sitting at a slight angle.
Have fun
The oil filter for a Hyundai Getz is on the drivers side of the engine. The filter is midway between the front and back of the engine.
The 2006 Hyundai Getz typically requires 5W-30 or 10W-30 engine oil, depending on the specific engine type and climate conditions. It's important to check the owner's manual for the exact specifications, as different engine variants may have different oil requirements. Always use oil that meets the API (American Petroleum Institute) service classification recommended for your vehicle.
The engine oil capacitie with oil filter change is 4.5 QTS
If your Hyundai Getz is smoking, it could be due to several issues. Common causes include engine oil leaking into the combustion chamber, worn piston rings, or a blown head gasket, which can lead to oil or coolant burning. Additionally, excessive fuel injection or a faulty fuel system can result in black smoke. It's essential to diagnose the specific cause to address the problem effectively.
4.23 Quarts
To change the gearbox oil on a Hyundai Getz, first ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and securely raised. Remove the gearbox drain plug and let the old oil drain completely. Once drained, replace the drain plug and remove the fill plug on top of the gearbox. Finally, use a funnel to add the recommended type and amount of new gearbox oil through the fill hole, then replace the fill plug securely.
Changing an oil filter should be done after the oil has been drained. Try loosening the oil filter with a chain wrench. If needed puncture the oil filter to create a shaft impaling it creating leverage. Attach a new filter, close the drain plug and refill with oil.
Not necessary but never a bad idea if possible. Just never overfill the engine.
The problem is that the oil filter is on the top of the engine. I just want to make sure there are no tricks involced.
The 2007 Hyundai Tucson with the 2.0 L 4-cyl engine has an oil capacity of 4.0 quarts.
It is 4.6 quarts with with filter. So when doing an oil change put in 5.0 quarts. They do this because some oil is burned/used in the engine during the life of that particular oil change. 3 months or 3,000 miles.
The engine oil capacity for a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe varies depending on the engine type. For the 2.7L V6 engine, the capacity is approximately 5.5 quarts (with a filter change), while the 3.3L V6 engine has a capacity of about 6 quarts (also with a filter change). Always consult the owner's manual for the most accurate specifications.
