The fiberglass panel at the side of the battery has to be removed and the battery is removed sideways.
I wouldn't remove the panel entirely,I would remove the top bolts on the side panel and remove the ones on the fender weld. At the bottom of the side panel where the gap is,I would just loosen it so the panel can fall outwards, this will allow you to work the battery outwards, may have to tip it to get out and tip it again to get it back in.

what could be pulling the battery down in a 1981 corvette
The battery location on a 1972 Corvette is behind the driver's seat. There is a small door behind the seat that hides the battery.
I have a 1979 corvette and had the same problem. what I did was change the starter and the battery. it starts better than my new car.
yes it will
Remove the water supply hose from the top of your 1984 Chevy Corvette thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat housing retaining bolts. The old thermostat will lift out. Put the new thermostat in and reverse the process.
bypass anti theft system 1984 chevrolet corvette
That doesn't make sense cause that would be the 31st year of the car.(corvette) They came into production in 1953. They did not make a corvette in 1983 so 1984 would be a 30th year. I've never heard of a 1984 anniversary edition tho.
