To change the fuel pump on a 2007 Chevy Avalanche, start by disconnecting the battery and relieving fuel pressure by removing the fuel pump relay and running the engine until it stalls. Next, access the fuel pump by either dropping the fuel tank or removing the access panel in the bed, depending on your model. Once exposed, disconnect the electrical connectors and fuel lines from the pump, then remove the retaining ring to lift out the old pump. Install the new pump in reverse order, ensuring all connections are secure before reassembling everything and reconnecting the battery.
