Do you really want to change it. Earlier, I did the same, unnecessarily so. Only check the engine oil level after it's sat all night. This way you'll get a good reading and probably find it low. Could just burn a bit of oil. Doing this you just may find that there's nothing wrong with the unit. After it's just a float.

The oil level sensor for the engine is generally located in the oil pan.
It is not an oil level sensor it is an oil pressure sensor. It just unscrews.
Oil level sensor is on side of oil pan.
Make sure you are looking for the THE OIL LEVEL SENSOR and not the oil pressure switch. Oil level sensor should still be located on the oil Pan.
How do you install an oil level sensor 2007 Tahoe
That is an oil level sensor.
If the oil level sensor on a 1993 Toyota Previa is illuminated, it may indicate that the engine oil level is low or that there is a problem with the sensor itself. It's important to check the oil level and top it off if necessary. Additionally, a malfunctioning sensor could be due to a faulty connection or a defective sensor. If the oil level is adequate and the light remains on, further diagnosis may be needed to address the sensor issue.
lets you know when the oil level gets low.
An oil level sensor will shut down the Ford Expedition. If the oil level sensor senses that the vehicle is low on oil, a light will alert you to the fact before the vehicle shuts down.
Check oil level after the vehicle has been running and then sat for 3 minutes. If it is not low, then I would check the wiring going to the oil level sensor. It should be on the side of the oil pan. If it malfunctioned after an oil change then I would look in the vacinity of the oil filter, it was probably bumped in the process.
The oil level pressure sensor is located on the front of the engine. The oil pressure sensor is just above where the oil pan bolts to the engine.
If there is sensor with wires going to it sticking out of the front of the pan, it has the level sensor.
